Commercial Pilot Certificate Single Engine
(FAR Part 61)

Prerequisites: Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating (Optional)
Any Commercial Pilot without instrument rating will have limitations placed on their Commercial Pilot Certificate.

Requirements: FAA Part 61 requires that an applicant for Commercial Pillot must have a total of 250 hours of flight time to include the following:
* 100 hours in a powered aircraft of hich 50 must be in an airplane
* 100 hours of PIC time which must include 50 hours in an airplane and 50 hours of cross country time of which 10 hours must be in an airplane
* 10 hours of instrument training of which 5 hours must be in a single engine airplane
* 10 hours of training in a retractable airplane or a Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA)
* 2 hour day dual cross country flight of 100nm or more from the original departure point
* 2 hour night dual cross country flight of 100nm or more from the original departure point
* 3 hours in a single engine airplane with an instructor in preparation for the practical test
* 10 hours of solo flight time in a single engine airplane or 10 hours of flight time performing the duties of PIC in a single engine airplane with an instructor
